I had full intentions to do a What I Wore Today post today.
However, life stepped in and decided to give me a headache and a stuffy nose...
so, I didn't exactly get dressed this morning.
(I totally rocked the leggings-as-pants thing)

As an alternative, I've decided to post about my political opinions!

Ha. Just kidding. ;)

I'm just going to post some pretty pictures I've seen floating around the interwebs lately.

Like this picture of PaulMac drinking coffee and wearing a Bill Cosby sweater:

and this map of Hogwarts by gamma-ray-burst:

Happy Tuesday. :)

Inbetweeners.

Do you guys remember that time that it turned fall and the weather got all glorious, so we packed up our summer clothes and spent an entire afternoon arranging our sweaters in the closet, and then we had apple cider and went to a bonfire?!?!?!
Right.
It didn't happen.
In fact, I don't recall that ever happening in my lifetime.

I live in a world where I sometimes get to wear shorts on Christmas.
(true story)
so, I really don't care what season this is supposed to be - it is still summer out there.

But don't think that stopped me from pulling out my boots and sweaters.

Fall clothes are my favorite!
If I wait for it to cool down, then I've lost a good 2 months of sweater&tights combos.

Which is why I've mastered the art of pairing my fall clothes with my summer clothes.

It's the best of both worlds, you won't die of heat stroke...and really, only like a quarter of the people you encounter will think you're a psycho for wearing a scarf when it's 85 degrees.

Here are my in-between-the-seasons go to outfits:

Shorts and Sweaters.
Chic. Unexpected. Classic.
or.
Jeans and a Tank.

Also, get yourself some fall accessories.
Light-weight beanies and scarves feel fallish, without making you feel sweaty.

So, Happy Not-Fall, guys!

See you soon! :)

Ahmahgad.

Geez Louise, I've been away for a while!
The summer came and went; school is in full swing!
Like. It's the first day of fall, guys. Seriously. How did this happen?!
I don't even remember what I did all summer - so I won't be able to bore you with the details.
But I can tell you that some pretty amazing and spectacular things are on the radar for Ginger Gamine.
Stick around, folks. :)

This weekend was pretty ridiculously awesome.

On Saturday, I found some false eyelashes in my purse.
False eyelashes. are. awesome.
I am officially obsessed and want to wear them everyday and I seriously do not care who judges me.

ALSO. I played model in this little shoot for my good friend, Judea.
(OMG. Judea is moving back into town. I am so freakin' excited I cannot even stand it.)

Oh. and then I went to a super fun party to celebrate the end of the semester.
Honestly, I think we were actually celebrating the beginning of summer.
Same thing.

On Sunday, Christapher and I made a quick road trip to see his family.
On the way, we drove through a little town called Magnolia, where Chris grew up.
I want to kick myself for not taking pictures of this town.
It's full of beautiful murals and architecture... it's so sweet and perfect!
(PS. The lady who wrote the TrueBlood series is from Magnolia!)

But now....the weekend is over and it's study, study, study for me.
Only two more tests and I'm free!!!

How was your weekend, dear?

(a little sneaky-peaky from my shoot with Judea!)

Reading Rainbow.

As I mentioned before - I hope to do a lot of reading this summer.
I love to read, and I don't usually find time for it during the school year.
Which, in all honesty, sucks like a Hoover.

Here are a few books I'm planning to read (or reread) within the next month or so.

Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli.
(I have probably read this a hundred times. But it is so. dang. good.)

Love, Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli.
(I just realized there was a sequel. and I literally screamed out loud. I SOLed.)

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.
(My friend Susie has been begging me to read this since it came out.)
An Object of Beauty by Steve Martin.
(Yes. THE Steve Martin. )
(I am ashamed to admit that I've had this on my Kindle for over 6 months now....
it's a difficult read.)

Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
(Because it doesn't feel right to wear heart shaped sunglasses without having read Lolita.)

What's on your summer reading list so far?

Proof that my University is Awesome:

If you look REALLY hard you MIGHT see the boyfriend somewhere in the band.
(and check out the sax player on the far right. LOL!)

Summer Lovin'

Seriously. Why is it not summer yet?!!
Only 2 more classes, 3 final exams, and I am out of here, Sister!

I cannot wait to see what summer adventures are in store for Christapher & I.
I'm hoping they involve swimming, reading and lemonade.
(oh! And a job would be nice... K? Thanks!)
